May 8, 2026 — Friday Statwatch for games played through May 6

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Friday Statwatch, our look at national girls’ lacrosse statistical information. As the body of work has increased, we are getting a new picture every week. This week, we are noticing that more of the northern states are registering high scorers alongside the states which finish off this weekend.

We note that Giada Catanzaro, the senior at Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.) heads into next week’s Somerset County Tournament on the verge of history. She is set to become just the fifth known scholastic girls’ lacrosse player to breach the 300-assist mark. Now, I’ve known a lot of good assisters over the years, especially with accurate sticks and skilled players willing to turn these dimes into goals. Best of luck to Catanzaro the rest of the season.

Below in the red are our usual provisional gathering of American scholastic lacrosse statistics from available published sources, including MaxPreps, Berks Game Day, the KHSAA, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, PhillyLacrosse, and Advance Media. If we can get more teams, state federations, and local leagues to adopt the easy-to-use MaxPreps.com platform, we can aim for as complete a statistical picture of the country as possible.
