Bucs general manager Jason Licht returns to the Pewter Report Podcast on Wednesday, May 13th, to talk about the upcoming 2026 season. Pewter Report will have a conversation with Licht about this rookie draft class, how the Bucs can right the ship this coming season, and his overall thoughts on the players and team following rookie minicamp.

Licht has been the architect of the Bucs’ modern success since becoming general manager in 2014. After inheriting one of the NFL’s worst rosters, Licht rebuilt Tampa Bay through the draft, selecting franchise cornerstones such as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Tristan Wirfs, and Antoine Winfield Jr. over the years while steadily reshaping the culture inside One Buc Place.
His defining moment came in 2020 when he helped bring Tom Brady to Tampa Bay, a move that immediately resulted in a victory in Super Bowl LV. The aggressive roster construction around Brady, combined with strong drafting and timely free-agent additions, has turned the team into an annual playoff contender throughout this decade.
Even after Brady’s retirement, Licht kept Tampa Bay competitive, retaining key veterans and continuing to hit on draft picks. Now, he is highly thought of across the league and the driving force behind the most sustained period of success in franchise history.
