KCB Rugby hand Kenya 7s quintet in squad for Kenya Cup final

KCB Rugby have named a strong squad for the 2025/26 Kenya Cup final against defending champions Kabras RFC set for the Kakamega Showground.

The bankers have maintained a largely settled side as they seek to reclaim the title, with experienced campaigners spread across the squad for the highly anticipated clash.

Nick Okullo, Fidel Maina and Wilhite Mususi form the front row, while Emmanuel Silungi partners Winstone Macharia in the second row. The back row sees Elvis Olukusi, George Ooro and Sheldon Kahi tasked with providing balance in both attack and defence.

Samuel Asati starts at scrum-half and will combine with Brian Wahinya at fly-half in the key decision-making roles. Out wide, KCB have named Festus Shiasi and Vincent Onyala on the wings, with Isaac Njoroge starting at fullback.

In midfield, the experienced pairing of Bob Muhati and Richel Wangila has been trusted to marshal play against a dangerous Kabras backline.

KCB have also named an impactful bench, with W. Waswa, T. Okidia and E. Miheso among the forward replacements, while E. Opondo, M. Wekesa and E. Namusasi provide cover in the backs as the bankers look to finish strongly in the second half.

The final will see KCB attempt to dethrone Kabras, who are chasing another Kenya Cup crown in front of their home supporters in Kakamega.
