Tyson Fury has been called out by a man who fought Anthony Joshua twice.

Fury and Joshua have signed their contracts to face each other in a long-awaited heavyweight battle later this year.

‘AJ’ will first return against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25, while Fury is now contemplating having a warm-up bout of his own.

‘The Gypsy King’ came out of retirement to outpoint Arslanbek Makhmudov last month.

“Yes. I’d love to fight him,” Ruiz Jr told casino.org/us/.

“Tyson Fury actually messaged me asking what I thought about fighting him, but everybody was saying that’s too dangerous for him right now, so I’m pretty sure that’s why he picked Makhmudov.

“If I fought him I think I’d be way too much.

“Although a lot of people are saying that Fury would box me around, people have to remember that they haven’t seen me when I fight really good people.

“I come out like a beast, especially when I’m in shape.”

The 36-year-old famously caused one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history by knocking out Anthony Joshua in 2019, before losing the immediate rematch on points.

The American hasn’t fought in almost two years since a majority draw with Jarrell Miller and just three times since his defeat to ‘AJ’.

Ruiz Jr named ‘The Gypsy King’ as the most overrated fighter in boxing today.

“I’m gonna say Tyson Fury because they hype him up so much but to me, I don’t even think he’s a crazy fighter.

“Yes, he’s done a lot in the sport.

“But I feel like the only person that he really beat up that was good was Wilder.

“So yeah, I’m gonna say Tyson Fury.”

The much-anticipated Fury-Joshua showdown will likely take place in November on streaming giant Netflix.

On Thursday, Zuffa Boxing boss Dana White claimed he’d be promoting the mega fight, but Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn refuted those claims on Friday.

“Such a clout chaser,” the Matchroom Chairman wrote on his Instagram story.

“Not a chance and contractually impossible.
