Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.1.0 Brings Ranked Battle Royale Quads, New Map, and a Fresh Battle Pass

Battlefield 6’s next big update drops on May 12, 2026. Game Update 1.3.1.0 is Season 3 in full, and it is a lot to unpack.

The update goes live across all platforms at 09:00 UTC. The new content includes Railway to Golmud, Ranked Battle Royale, new weapons, and Battle Pass updates. All of them unlock at 12:00 UTC.

Here is everything coming in the patch.

Ranked Battle Royale Quads Arrive in REDSEC

Ranked Battle Royale Quads is now in REDSEC. It offers a way to drop in and compete for rank, rewards, and leaderboard placement. Tiers run from Rookie to Master, with an Elite 250 leaderboard sitting above that for top-end competition. Squads who climb earn permanent rewards.

The Ranked mode also comes with broader updates to mission flow, Loot Detection, Anti-Vehicle Drops, scoring, and the downed state to give matches a clearer and more consistent feel from drop to extraction.

Railway to Golmud Is the Game’s Biggest Map Yet

Railway to Golmud is a reimagining of the Battlefield 4 classic. It is Battlefield 6‘s largest map so far. The layout runs from a ruined village and open hills, through a dense industrial area built for close-quarters combat, to a moving railway that squads fight to control. Infantry, ground vehicles, jets, and helicopters all share the space.

Season 3 starts with a chapter called Warlords: Supremacy. It is the first of three parts planned across the season, with PAX Warlords pushing the conflict to a global scale.

Three New Weapons Join the Arsenal

The M16A4 assault rifle is back. It supports fully automatic and burst-fire modes, and a carry-handle option is available for iron sights. It is designed for mid to short-mid range.

The L115 is a bolt-action sniper rifle built for long to very-long range shots. It supports multiple attachments.

The RPK-74M rounds things out as a light machine gun for Support players. It has minimal recoil and is built for sustained pressure at range.

Battle Pass and Battlefield Pro

Season 3 brings a new Battle Pass with 100+ tiers. Rewards include new hardware, weapon packages, soldier skins, and XP boosts across four themed paths. The update also fixes Battle Pass navigation, corrects season celebrations, and pricing display issues in the menu.

Battlefield Pro is the premium layer on top. Subscribers get 25 Tier Skips, a 5% XP Booster, six instant unlocks, special Assignments, extra Challenge rerolls, an exclusive Vehicle Radio Station, access to a Bonus Path, and Portal support for up to 100 players.

Vehicles Get a Full Overhaul

This is one of the bigger mechanical changes in the patch. All tracked vehicles now have a new transmission and steering system. The update brings smoother acceleration, more consistent turning at all speeds, and more effective handbrake turns. Tanks no longer get immobilized from taking serious damage, though anti-tank mines still disable them. The ground vehicle boost bar also stops being wiped when boost is interrupted. Boost can be reapplied even while the bar recharges, as long as it has not been fully emptied.

Health regeneration has also changed. The delay before regen kicks in goes from 6 seconds to 12. Regen now runs all the way to full health instead of stopping at the next health bracket. The rate increases from around 5% per second to 10%. In critical health, regen is slowed by 80% instead of being fully turned off.

Weapon and Gadget Changes

Automatic weapon recoil has been adjusted to better define each weapon’s effective range. Shotguns get new attachment options. The Magnifier optic is now available as a shared attachment across weapons. Multiple reload, animation, reticle, and attachment issues have also been fixed.

On the gadget side, mines, launchers, the Portable Mortar, the Engineers Supply Crate, the Hardware Suppression System, and laser designation tools have all been updated. The focus is on making launchers more viable and giving anti-vehicle gadgets clearer roles.
