Revosim RS Pure Pedals to support wheel bases from other brands via USB adapter

Revosim’s RS Pure direct-drive wheel bundle includes a high-quality pedal set with metal construction and, unusually for its price point, a load cell brake. It’s also sold separately or as part of a bundle with the newly released Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Rim.

There is a catch, however: the pedal set currently only supports Revosim wheel bases. This is more restrictive than other peripheral manufacturers, such as Asetek and Fanatec, which allow a direct PC connection for use with other wheel bases.

“When we released our pedal set, a lot of people were saying the pedal set is amazing,” said Nacon’s Head of Racing, Sébastien Waxin during yesterday’s Nacon Connect presentation. “It’s a very good value for money with the load cell sensor on the brake and the construction.

“At €149, it’s a very good price point for that kind of pedal set. But a lot of people were saying ‘Yeah it’s a shame I’m equipped with another brand, but I can’t buy your pedal set because I can’t plug it into the computer.’”

As a solution, Revosim will release a USB adapter that allows players with different ecosystems to plug the RS Pure Pedals directly into a PC and use them with wheel bases from other brands.

The USB adapter will go on sale “by the end of the year,” but pricing and a release date are yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Nacon’s Revosim RS Pure brand ecosystem is set to expand with the launch of a hybrid shifter, clutch pedal and load cell handbrake. These will be sold individually or as part of bundles.
