Here’s the truth behind that Kairi Sane photo.
Kairi Sane was involved in one of WWE’s biggest storylines heading into WrestleMania 42. The Pirate Princess found herself caught in the middle of the heated rivalry between Asuka and IYO SKY. However, the highly anticipated match ultimately did not take place at WWE’s biggest event of the year.
While fans were disappointed the match never happened, an even more shocking development followed when WWE released more than two dozen talents from their contracts. Among those departures were Kairi Sane and the entire The Wyatt Sicks faction.
Initial reports claimed Sane’s release came after she reportedly expressed interest in moving back to Japan. However, Sane later dismissed those rumors herself.
As for the long-awaited showdown between Asuka and IYO SKY, the match is now set to take place at WWE Backlash tonight.
Ahead of the match, a photo of Kairi Sane began circulating online. The image, which appeared to show Sane posing with a fan at Tampa airport, sparked speculation that she could appear during the ongoing PLE.
However, the viral photo is actually from November, back when Sane was still under WWE contract. With Kairi no longer part of the company, it remains to be seen how the match between Asuka and IYO SKY unfolds.
