Nike Drops the 2026 Paris Collection for Clay Court Season

Bold colors, sustainable materials and performance-focused design arrive in time for Roland-Garros.

Nike has released its 2026 Paris Collection, a vibrant apparel and footwear lineup designed specifically for the tennis clay court season. Of course, timed to coincide with the French Open, the collection mixes nice aesthetics with technical performance built for the red dirt tennis.

The Design Philosophy

The apparel collection draws inspiration from what Nike calls “the sport’s most legendary stage” – Roland-Garros and the clay court swing. Unlike some tournament-specific releases that lean heavily into national colors or traditional motifs, Nike’s Paris Collection embraces modern edge with bold color blocking and contemporary silhouettes.

The standout palette features light violet ore, pearl pink and vibrant purples across both men’s and women’s lines, creating a cohesive visual identity that feels fresh without changing their usual performance priorities.

Men’s Apparel Highlights

The men’s collection centers around the Summer Slam series, which includes polos, short-sleeve tops, shorts and even a sleeveless hoodie – a unique piece that is very stylish for warm-up sessions or just off-court wear.

Nike integrated sustainable materials throughout the line, especially in the core pieces. The Summer Slam Polo and Top both feature recycled polyester blends, addressing environmental concerns without compromising the moisture-wicking and breathability we come to expect from them, that is so great for long clay court matches.

Color options span black, grey, green, purple and yellow, giving players flexibility to mix and match depending on personal preference or tournament requirements. The Summer Paris Graphic T-Shirt offers a more casual option for practice sessions or off-court activities, available in black, green or purple.

Women’s Collection

The women’s line takes a more adventurous approach to design, featuring the Summer Slam Dress in both pink and black iterations. These aren’t traditional tennis dresses – Nike incorporated modern cuts with strategically placed mesh panels and asymmetric design elements that stand out on court.

The Summer Slam Skirt and Woven Skirt both come in green and purple colorways, offering options for players who prefer separates over dresses. Nike also included a Crop Long Sleeve in purple for cooler morning sessions or players who prefer more coverage.

Tank options in green and purple round out the collection, providing lightweight choices for peak heat conditions that characterize late-spring clay court tournaments.

Nike released multiple footwear options specifically designed for clay court play, recognising that surface-appropriate shoes can make a significant difference in performance and injury prevention.

Men’s Shoes

The Zoom Vapor 12 PRM appears in light violet ore/grey and violet/black colorways, bringing Nike’s established Zoom Air cushioning platform to the Paris aesthetic (check our review on the Nike Zoom Vapor 12 All Court). For players seeking a more retro-inspired look, the GP Challenge 1.5 series (image below) offers multiple options including lavender/grey and hydrogen blue variants.

Nike also released clay-specific versions of several models, including the Zoom Vapor 12 Clay and Vapor Pro 3 Clay, both featuring modified outsole patterns optimised for sliding and quick directional changes on red dirt.

Women’s Shoes

The women’s footwear collection revolves around pearl pink as the signature color, creating a distinct identity separate from the men’s line. The Zoom Vapor 12 PRM in pearl pink serves as the flagship model, while the Vapor Pro 3 PRM offers a lighter, more affordable alternative with similar styling.

Nike included the GP Challenge 1.5 Osaka in mineral/black, a colorway specifically designed in collaboration with Nike athlete Naomi Osaka, bridging the gap between retro aesthetics and modern performance.

Sustainable Materials Integration

Throughout the collection, Nike incorporated recycled polyester and other sustainable materials, particularly in the core apparel pieces. The Summer Slam Polo, Top, and Shorts all feature this eco-conscious construction, addressing growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible athletic wear.

While Nike doesn’t lead with sustainability as the primary marketing angle for the Paris Collection, the integration demonstrates that performance and environmental consideration can coexist without compromise.

Sabalenka

The collection arrives perfectly timed for the clay court season, launching ahead of the major European clay events including the Italian Open and French Open.

The range spans multiple price points, making the collection accessible to different segments of the tennis market. Graphic t-shirts provide entry-level options, while premium shoes and technical polos cater to players prioritising performance over budget.

Who It’s For

Well, Nike’s collections are well known by now so it terms of quality, you know what you get. The Paris Collection targets players who want gear that performs on clay while making a visual statement. The bold colorways won’t appeal to everyone – players preferring understated aesthetics might find the collection too aggressive – but for those who embrace vibrant on-court style, this represents Nike’s most cohesive clay court offering in recent years.

Worth it?

Nike’s 2026 Paris Collection delivers what clay court players need: moisture-wicking fabrics for long, hot matches; clay-specific footwear with proper traction patterns; and bold designs that channel the energy and intensity of Roland-Garros.

Whether you’re grinding through club matches or just want to look the part during your next clay court session, the collection offers good options across apparel and footwear and the style is a bit more interesting than some of their previous collections.
