Liverpool host Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, knowing that victory will almost assure them of qualification for the Champions League.

Arne Slot’s side were beaten 3-2 by rivals Manchester United in an entertaining encounter at Old Trafford on Sunday, but the Reds are still on course to qualify.

The Merseyside outfit have struggled to defend their top flight crown, though, and it is currently unclear whether or not Slot will remain in his role beyond this summer.

Away from the action, though, the Reds appear to have been handed a boost as they pursue a Serie A defender.

As per CaughtOffside, Juventus could be willing to sell Liverpool target Pierre Kalulu for the right price this summer.

The centre-back has been impressing in the Italian top flight this season, and the report claims that Manchester United and Aston Villa are also both keeping tabs on the player.

While Juventus have so far reiterated that they have no intention of selling the defender, the report suggests that the Serie A giants could consider offers if their valuation is met.

Kalulu, 25, joined the Old Lady on loan from rivals AC Milan in 2024 and made his move permanent last year.

Since arriving in Turin he has featured 89 times across all competitions, including 46 appearances so far this term.

The player’s contract is set to expire in 2029, and the report suggests that Juventus could consider selling Kalulu for a fee of around £35 million if he refuses to sign a new deal.

Liverpool are assessing potential new signings in defence amid uncertainty surrounding Ibrahima Konate’s future at Anfield, while United and Villa are also both on the hunt for reinforcements at the back.
