Brock Lesnar may not be done with WWE, and a new update has given fans a real reason to keep the hope alive.
Pwinsider is reporting that Lesnar is still listed as an “active wrestler” inside WWE’s internal roster system, even though he has been moved to the alumni section on WWE.com and recently shifted to the ‘Forever’ section of WWE’s weekly television opening signature.
Paul Heyman has also repeatedly told fans on SmackDown that Lesnar is retired, but the internal classification tells a different story.
The report also notes that Lesnar is listed internally as a free agent within the system rather than as a retired performer, which is a meaningful distinction from a roster management standpoint.
Fan speculation has naturally pointed toward SummerSlam 2026 as a possible return window, given that this year’s event is being held in Minnesota, which is Lesnar’s home state and the place where he built his entire amateur wrestling foundation.
However, the current main event picture is already taking shape around GUNTHER vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Clash in Italy. This makes any potential Lesnar return storyline unlikely for now.
