Latest Update On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Status; Note On How WWE Is Listing Him Internally

Former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar’s future in wrestling has also been a topic of rumors lately after the legend left his gloves and boots in the ring following a match at WrestleMania, which is generally a sign that retirement looms.

Lesnar has not made any public statements on the matter and while WWE hasn’t either, they moved his profile from an active wrestler to the Alumni section earlier this month but reports then emerged that many within WWE believe that Lesnar hasn’t wrestled his last match and there were even some rumors that the whole thing was an angle. Furthermore, many had assumed that if he was retiring this year, it would happen at SummerSlam which takes place in Minneapolis.

PWInsider Elite had another update today, noting that while Lesnar’s profile is in the Alumni section, internally on WWE’s roster sheets, the company still has him as an “active performer” though he not listed on either brand, but rather as a free agent. That would seem to give rise to a new question or added speculation as WWE has a dedicated “free agent” section on their website that includes talent like AJ Lee, Paige and Omos and they obviously have chosen not to list Brock there with them.
