2 Championship Matches Added To Saturday Night’s Main Event

While WWE Backlash just took place last Saturday and WWE Clash in Italy is set for May 30th with one match already added to that show, sandwiched between will be another episode of the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event special, going down May 23, 2026 from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Prior to tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, nothing was advertised for the show, but we now know two title matches set for the premium live event.

The Street Profits will get a shot at The Vision’s World Tag Team Championship titles after weeks of going after them with the gold being their sole goal in mind. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins teamed with Joe Hendry to defeat The Vision in a six-man tag team match on Raw and were approached by Seth Rollins, who offered to help them, but was rejected by Tez in particular, even though Dawkins seemed more interested in hearing out The Visionary, which may hint at some more tension within the pair that has been teased a few times over the past few years.

Penta will also defend the WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page, who has been one of the three major contenders going after the title in recent weeks. The other two, Rusev and Je’Von Evans, wrestled tonight with Evans scoring the victory. Page was called out specifically by Penta on Raw to address how he had scored a victory over the champion with a pinfall on last week’s episode, effectively making him the No. 1 contender.

To recap, here is your lineup of what we know so far for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV:

  • Singles Match for the WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Ethan Page
  • Tag Team Match for the WWE World Tag Team Championship: The Vision (Austin Theory and Logan Paul) (c) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

As a reminder, Saturday Night’s Main Event specials broadcast on Peacock, not ESPN. Be sure to check back on May 23rd for live coverage of the event and all the match results and other highlights here at The Ring Report.
