The Texas Rangers’ No. 10 ranked prospect has turned the Texas League into his personal playground, and the league office took notice on Monday, officially naming Dreiling the Texas League Player of the Week for May 4–10.
Dreiling becomes the first player on the RoughRiders roster to take home the weekly award in the 2026 season.
A Week of Pure Dominance
Dreiling’s performance during the series against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals wasn’t just good—it was historic. Over a five-game stretch, the outfielder posted a video-game-esque slash line of .368/.520/1.000, good for a massive 1.520 OPS.
The power production was the headline story. Dreiling blasted four home runs, leading the entire Texas League for the week. Perhaps more importantly for his development, he showed he could do more than just pull the ball for distance; he drove in eight runs and consistently came through in high-leverage spots.

While the home runs draw the headlines, scouts and Rangers officials are likely enamored with Dreiling’s approach at the plate. In 19 at-bats against Naturals pitching, Dreiling walked six times and struck out only once.
That 6:1 walk-to-strikeout ratio suggests a hitter who isn’t just “hot,” but one who is completely in control of the strike zone. By refusing to chase out of the zone, Dreiling is forcing pitchers to come to him—and when they do, he’s made them pay.
