ITA National Summer Championships | ITA Player Membership | ITA Summer Series
Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is pleased to announce today the selection of Baylor University as the host of the 2026 ITA National Summer Championships powered by WTN.
As the crescendo of the ITA Summer Series, the ITA National Summer Championships powered by WTN brings together top performers from both the ITA Summer Masters Series and the ITA Summer Points Race Series to compete for $20,000 in total prize money, as well as other pro and collegiate wild cards for players.
Serving as the hosts of the 2025 NCAA Team Championships, the Hurd Tennis Center is widely considered as one of the top collegiate facilities across the United States. Featuring 12 outdoor courts and seating for over 1,200 spectators, the Hurd Tennis Center was recently named the College Tennis Facility of the Year by Racquet Sports Industry magazine.

We’ve seen firsthand how beneficial this series has been not only for Baylor, but for college tennis as a whole. To welcome so many talented players to our campus is something we’re very excited about, and we’re proud to support an event that continues to elevate and grow the game.”
Featuring a 32-player singles draws as well as a 16-team doubles draws, the field of players will include many top ranked collegians and high-level junior players who have competed in the ITA Summer Series throughout June and July. Past Summer Championship draws saw representation from institutions such as Illinois, Texas, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Northwestern to name a few.
In addition to the $20,000 in total prize money, current Division I student-athletes will also be competing for ITA All-American Championship wild cards, a tournament that is now a direct qualifier for the NCAA Fall Individual Championships. Additionally, any American finalists will be eligible for USTA pro-level wild cards.
Play will span from August 8-11, 2026 at the Hurd Tennis Center with singles and doubles champions being crowned on Tuesday, August 11. Families and fans of competing athletes will be able to watch matches through PlaySight cameras installed on site.
The player field will be finalized and published in the first week of August. Automatic qualifiers will include all singles semifinalists from the upcoming ITA Summer Masters Series powered by WTN.
