Namibia Rugby Union has named Under-20 squad set to tour South Africa as part of preparations for upcoming international assignments.
According to a statement released by the Namibia Rugby Union, the tour forms part of the ongoing trial and selection process ahead of the Barthés Trophy scheduled for August 2026 and the World Rugby Challenge in September 2026.
The union noted that the tour will give players valuable exposure and competitive experience as preparations continue for the two major tournaments. The final selection process is expected to continue once the squad returns to Namibia.
The squad will be led by Head Coach Johan Zaayman alongside Assistant Coach Jood Opperman.
The forwards selected for the tour are Tauno Hamukoto, Christiaan Burger, Tiaan van der Westhuizen, Marchall Klein, Benjamin Mostert, Liam van Rooyen, Pandeni Shipena, Burger Wilhelm Oelofsen, Tjerjpo Karuhumba, Kobus Mouton, Zack von Welligih, Ruan Agenbach, Pieter Jan Strydom, Nzola-Menza Nkunku, John Connor Nel, Eduardo Dunn, Jaco-Collin Labuschagne and Isaiah Kazondovi.

The South Africa tour is expected to play a key role in helping the technical bench assess players as Namibia continues building towards future international competitions.
