ROH will be hosting its Supercard of Honor show on May 15 and the last competitor for the Survival of the Fittest match has been determined. This will be the first-ever women’s Survival of the Fittest match to take place.
The match itself has six women, including the current ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena. The CMLL Women’s Champion, Persephone, was a competitor in the match after qualifying, however, an injury has removed her. Another qualifier match took place this week on ROH to determine who replaced her and Zayda Steel defeated Hyan in order to take the last spot. Other participants in the match include Maya World, Yuka Sakazaki, Billie Starkz, and Trish Adora.
Athena has been champion now for over 1,250 days. She has held the gold since defeating Mercedes Martinez in December of 2022. During her three and a half year long reign, Athena has defended her title successfully 35 times.
