WWE Adds Huge Match to May 23 Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE added another major match to Saturday Night’s Main Event during the May 15 episode of SmackDown.

After a chaotic women’s tag match ended in controversy on Friday night, WWE officially confirmed a six-woman tag team match for the upcoming special event on May 23 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The newly announced match will see Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Alexa Bliss team up against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.

The announcement came after Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated Michin and B-Fab by disqualification on SmackDown when Jade Cargill interfered and attacked Alexa at ringside. The chaos continued after the match as Charlotte fought back against Jade’s group before the segment finally ended.

Later backstage, Charlotte questioned where Rhea Ripley had been after the previous week’s issues involving Jade. Alexa then reminded Charlotte that Rhea still owed them help, continuing the tension heading into Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The updated lineup for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV now includes:

  • Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta (c) vs. Ethan Page
  • World Tag Team Championship Match: The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) (c) vs. The Street Profits
  • Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley & Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab

Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place May 23, 2026, from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Make sure to keep checking Ringside News for more WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event coverage, breaking news, live results, and backstage updates.
