USTA Florida is accepting applications for its Coaching Education Stipend, part of the organization’s AMPLIFY program. This is designed to support coaches from historically underrepresented communities as they pursue professional development and advance within the coaching pathway.
The stipend provides up to $500 to help offset the cost of high-quality education opportunities, removing a financial barrier that can prevent talented coaches from reaching the next level in their careers.
Tennis has always benefited from coaches who bring unique perspectives, lived experiences, and deep community connections to the court. Yet coaches from historically underrepresented backgrounds often face challenges when it comes to accessing the certifications, workshops, and training programs that are essential to career growth. This stipend is designed to close that gap and ensure that every coach has a clear path forward.
Applicants are asked to share their background, lived experiences, and community connections. They are also asked to describe how receiving the stipend would help them progress along the coaching pathway, whether that means pursuing a new certification, attending a national coaching conference, or completing coursework that opens doors to more advanced roles.
USTA Florida believes that a more diverse coaching community leads to a stronger sport. When players see themselves reflected in their coaches, it builds trust and creates an environment where more people feel welcome on the court.
Coaches who are passionate about growing the game and deepening their impact are encouraged to apply. This is an opportunity to invest in your career while contributing to a more inclusive future for tennis in Florida.
