According to the Vokey Team at Titleist, a properly fit club can change everything.
For this MyGolfSpy Forum Member Test, we’re giving five members the chance to experience one of the most personal fittings in golf — a full custom Vokey wedge fitting resulting in completely custom SM11 wedges, including personal stamping to make them uniquely yours.
This isn’t just about testing wedges. It’s about discovering what properly fit scoring clubs can actually do for your game.
The Test
Five MyGolfSpy Forum members will receive:
- A professional Vokey wedge fitting
- A custom-built set of Titleist Vokey SM11 wedges
- Personal stamping to make them completely unique
- The opportunity to document the entire process for the MyGolfSpy community
From the fitting experience to on-course results, testers will share everything — including how properly fit wedges influence contact, trajectory, spin, and scoring performance.
The Vokey Philosophy: Contact. Flight. Spin.
According to the Vokey team, great wedge play comes down to three core elements:
Contact. Flight. Spin.
A Vokey fitting is designed to unlock all three.
Contact — Built Through Grind
The sole grind determines how the wedge interacts with turf and sand. The right grind allows the club to work with your natural swing instead of fighting it.
Flight — Controlled Through CG
The SM11 wedges feature carefully positioned center of gravity locations throughout the loft matrix, producing more predictable launch windows and trajectories.
Spin — Engineered Through the Vokey Spin System
Spin isn’t about chasing the biggest number. It’s about control.
Vokey’s spin system uses precise groove design, groove geometry, and face texture to create consistent, predictable stopping power.
Because scoring isn’t about maximum spin — it’s about controlled spin when it matters.
Why Wedge Fitting Matters
One of the most interesting truths that emerges during a Vokey fitting is that wedge fitting is often the most personal fitting in the bag. Wedges are about feel, turf interaction, and trust.
The fitting begins from the ground up — literally.
Rather than starting with ball speed or launch numbers, Vokey fitters begin by understanding how your sole interacts with the turf and sand, identifying the grind that best matches your technique and playing conditions.
What Makes the Vokey SM11 Different?
The Titleist Vokey SM11 wedges continue Bob Vokey’s relentless pursuit of wedge performance with subtle but meaningful improvements.
Highlights include:
- Forward CG progression: Strategically placed CG positions throughout the lofts create more controlled trajectories and improved distance consistency.
- Vokey Spin System: Precision-milled grooves combined with face texturing deliver the kind of predictable spin elite players demand.
- Tour-inspired shaping: Compact profiles, refined toplines, and a variety of sole grinds allow golfers to build a wedge setup tailored to their exact shot preferences.
- Industry-leading grind options: Vokey wedges are famous for their grind matrix, giving fitters the ability to match wedges to swing style and playing conditions.
The result: wedges designed not just to perform — but to unlock shots players didn’t know they had.
