Austin Theory Blasts Basement-Dwelling Critics Who Claim He Can’t Wrestle and Has No Charisma

Austin Theory is done listening to internet criticism, and he had a very blunt message for anyone claiming he cannot wrestle or lacks charisma.

While speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Theory addressed the criticism he sees online and said people will eventually give him the respect he believes he already deserves: “Five years from now, you’re going to really respect Austin Theory.” Theory argued that many people already respect him, but they hide it online by pretending he has no in-ring ability or charisma. He made it clear he believes that criticism is fake and driven by people trying to act tough on the internet.

“And you all do, truthfully. But the side of you that’s not real—the one you try to show the internet—where you’re like, ‘This guy can’t wrestle. This guy doesn’t have charisma.’”

Theory then flipped the criticism back on those people, saying they are the ones who cannot wrestle or show any charisma. He also insulted them directly by painting them as jealous basement-dwellers who wish they had his life.

“Look—we all know you can’t wrestle, and we all know you have no charisma. That’s why most of you have zero girlfriends or zero experience at all. You’re just sitting in your mom’s basement eating pizza rolls all day, saying, ‘Wow, I wish I could be Austin Theory.’”

Theory continued by saying the hate comes from jealousy. In his view, people do not dislike him because he lacks talent; they dislike him because they want to be in his position.

“But instead, you type, ‘No, I hate him,’ because you want to be him. That’s what this is about.”

Theory then predicted that he will only become bigger over time and told everyone to get on board before it happens.

“So yeah—in five years, I’m going to be the greatest thing in the world. So get with the program, everybody. Get with the program.”

Theory has never lacked confidence, and these comments show he is still leaning fully into that attitude. Whether people see it as arrogance or self-belief, he clearly does not plan on letting online criticism define how he views his WWE career.

Do you think Austin Theory’s confidence is justified, or did he go too far with his comments about online critics? Share your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
