Tyson Fury has hinted at a shock fight against Zlatan Ibrahimovic later in the year.
Fury is a two-time heavyweight world champion, while Ibrahimovic has never had a professional boxing fight.
It was reported by The Stomping Ground earlier this morning that both ‘The Gypsy King’ and the retired football star had met up in Warsaw, Poland.
Goldstar’s James Ward shared multiple photos of the pair’s meeting, as they could be pictured eating at restaurants together, with large filming crews featuring, possibly shooting content for Fury’s confirmed third instalment of his hit Netflix series ‘At Home with the Furys.’

Just a few hours after the photos were posted, both Fury and Ibrahimovic shared an Instagram post hinting at a fight between the pair.

The caption on their post read: “BREAKING NEWS! ITS ON AUGUST 1 DUBLIN Ireland, @tysonfury @turki #makingboxinggreatagain.”
While many fans initially viewed the post as a joke, Turki Alalshikh’s recent crossover matchmaking means some supporters are taking the possibility seriously.

On Saturday, Alalshikh and The Ring Magazine stage another shocking contest as two-time undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk faces kickboxing star Rico Verhoeven in front of the Pyramids of Giza.
Usyk comes in as a heavy favourite, yet Fury would likely be an even wider favourite if the fight with Ibrahimovic materialised.

The football star has hinted at a possible boxing crossover before, with Sun Sport claiming he was in talks with Misfits Boxing back in October 2024.
Misfits promoter Mams Taylor spoke on the possibility of Ibrahimovic fighting.
“I’ve tried to convince Zlatan and he can fight. I’m good friends with his manager and we had a FaceTime, the three of us.

“It was really cool because he’s seen a lot of Misfits fights and he’s followed it. He was a kickboxer, he’d be a good one as well.
“But yeah, there’s other names that aren’t quite as big as these guys but are still very respected and have achieved a lot that are interested.
“And because it’s so realistic that those guys are going to fight, I’m not gonna give you their names.”
‘The Gypsy King’ is set to face long-term rival Anthony Joshua later in the year after they have been on a collision course for over a decade, yet Fury has claimed he would like one more fight before facing ‘AJ.’

Rumours have begun circulating that Fury’s next fight will take place around a week or two after Joshua’s fight against Kristian Prenga, which takes place on July 25th.
With no official confirmation regarding the event, the reality of this fight remains unknown, but Fury and Ibrahimovic are clearly hinting at a showdown in Dublin.
