Big Money For 36th PA Sprint Car Speedweek

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — The 2026 edition of the prestigious PA Sprint Car Speedweek is shaping up to be the biggest and richest in the history of the series, offering unprecedented opportunities for fans and drivers across 10 nights of action-packed racing.

This year’s 36th annual PA Sprint Car Speedweek will feature more than $500,000 in prize money spread across 10 events at some of the most iconic dirt tracks in the country.

The schedule includes four $10,000-to-win races, three $12,000-to-win events, one $15,000-to-win race, one $20,000-to-win race, and the massive $50,019-to-win Steve Smith Sr. Tribute Race at Lincoln Speedway.

The series will also pay a minimum of $750 just to start each main event, further emphasizing the commitment to supporting competitors throughout the field.

One of the biggest storylines entering Speedweek is the largest point fund in series history. Drivers will battle for a record $37,500 point fund, with the Speedweek champion taking home $7,000. An additional bonus fund will reward the next ten highest point finishers who compete in all ten events.

The overall event purses have also reached historic levels, highlighted by the largest payoff ever at Lincoln Speedway during the Steve Smith Sr. Tribute Race presented by Schmuck Lumber/ACE Hardware. The marquee event boasts a staggering $188,640 payoff plus an additional $20,000 in contingency awards.

The race continues to grow thanks in large part to the efforts and support of Brian Leppo and the many partners who have elevated the event into one of the premier sprint car races in the nation.

Several events throughout the week have received significant increases in prize money. Hagerstown Speedway will now pay $12,000 to win on Thursday, July 2, marking a $5,000 increase in total payoff from last season. Joining Hagerstown in the $12,000-to-win category are races at BAPS Motor Speedway and Lincoln Speedway.

Another major addition to the 2026 lineup is the return of Selinsgrove Speedway to PA Sprint Car Speedweek. The historic half-mile oval rejoins the schedule on Sunday, July 5, with the Opperman/Bogar/Heintzelman Memorial paying $12,000 to win.

The continued growth of PA Sprint Car Speedweek would not be possible without the support of its dedicated partners and sponsors.
