“Moicano” Carneiro has reason to celebrate.
As far as MMA goes, the 37-year-old “Moicano” showed he still has
plenty of fight left in him on April 4 by submitting
American Top Team training partner Chris
Duncan in the main event of
UFC Fight Night 272.
Thanks to the resounding success of his YouTube channel, the ATT
athlete already has an excellent career transition guaranteed when
he decides to retire. Last Saturday, almost a month after being
awarded best influencer in Brasilia at the Brazilian internet
Oscars (iBEST), “Moicano” took another step towards this successful
transition. He once again used his well-known sense of humor to
innovate and achieve success, this time as the promoter of
Money Moicano MMA, an event with 10 MMA fights held in São
Paulo last Saturday at the Cornerman Academy.
With a dwarf as the announcer, fights between amateurs registered
on his channel, ring girls who stripped as the audience increased,
and the broadcast presence of greats like Demian Maia,

Rodrigo Nogueira, Jean Silva
and Marcos da
Matta, “Moicano” had fun and entertained the audience,
guaranteeing the success of his debut event.
Without the competition from the UFC on Saturday, Moicano achieved
excellent numbers. During the five hours of transmission on his
YouTube channel, the event averaged 40,000 viewers, reaching peaks
of 62,000 and achieving 550,000 views in 24 hours on air.

president, who represents the left) and Bolsonaro (known by many as
the Brazilian Trump). Lula was imprisoned for one year and seven
months for corruption during Bolsonaro’s term. When Lula returned
to power, Jair Bolsonaro went back to prison, leaving his eldest
son Flávio as a presidential candidate — increasing the temperature
in Brazil until the national election in October. The possibility
of having both sides in a real fight was spread by Brazilian media,
which help to engage Carneiro’s audience in his first show as a
promoter.
With the vast majority of locals rooting for the right-wing fighter
(Bolsonaro), the winner was Riquelme
Fofo, a supporter of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. His opponent,
Kauã Rosemberg, gave up during the break between the second and
third rounds.
“What a fight! Money Moicano MMA was designed exactly for that. To

sarcastic “Moicano” after the fight between the political
opponents.
The evening’s main event was a clash between Jair Farias
and Ricardo
Capoeira. Farias, an athlete from
The Fighting Nerds, used takedowns extensively and sought
submissions but ended up winning by split decision. It was the 12th
victory for the 33-year-old athlete, who lost in a past bid to earn
a
UFC contract on
Dana White’s Contender Series.
Also noteworthy are the victories of Ana Brito,
who submitted Kauany
Oliveira in the third round; Miguel
Porto, who knocked out Thiago
Vieira in the second round in the co-main event; and Hector
Santiago, who secured a beautiful knockout against Paulo
Nogueira.
At the end of the event, “Moicano” thanked the audience and
revealed that he is already planning the second edition of the
event for October, with many other innovations.
