CM Punk appears to be making serious progress amid his current absence from WWE programming.
The Straight Edge Superstar was last seen in action at WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday. Punk ultimately dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns that night.
Punk then appeared on the following night’s episode of WWE Raw, seemingly teasing a future feud with Cody Rhodes. However, he has not appeared on live television since that April 20 episode of RAW.
Despite his absence from WWE, he recently surfaced in a gym clip posted by a fan on social media. The fan noted that they didn’t recognize Punk at first because he was “yoked af now.” The fan also joked that the former world champion had apparently “tried John Cena’s routine.”
While Punk has always stayed in shape, he appears noticeably bigger, possibly due to added muscle mass. Naturally, the new look has also sparked steroid-use accusations online, something former All Elite Wrestling star and fitness instructor Cezar Bononi quickly dismissed.
CM Punk is currently advertised for the June 15 episode of RAW in the United States and the June 22 edition of RAW at The O2 Arena in London, England. He was initially scheduled for WWE’s European tour beginning with the May 28 live event in Liverpool, England, before reportedly being removed due to a scheduling change.
