This summer could see plenty of incomings and outgoings at Chelsea, with Xabi Alonso taking the hot seat at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard was confirmed as the Blues’ new manager earlier this month following Liam Rosenior’s sacking at the end of April, and Alonso will officially take charge on July 1.
Several players have already been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer, but it now appears that one member of the west London outfit’s squad is keen to depart when the window opens.
As per BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella, goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has requested to leave Chelsea this summer, in an effort to play more regularly.
Jorgensen joined the Blues from Spanish side Villarreal in 2024 but has since failed to establish himself as the club’s first-choice ‘keeper.

Instead, the Dane has acted as understudy to Robert Sanchez, making just 12 appearances this season and featuring just five times in the Premier League.
In total, the one-time Denmark international has kept 11 clean sheets in 36 games for the club across all competitions, conceding 39 goals.
The report suggests that the ‘keeper is keen to depart Stamford Bridge in order to secure more regular first team football, and Chelsea are said to be more open to the idea of allowing him to leave than they were in January when they player first suggested a departure.
Jorgensen’s current contract with the Blues has more than five years remaining, and the London side will therefore likely be able to command a decent fee for the player if he is sold this summer.
It is claimed that the goalkeeper asked to leave his current club during face-to-face discussions.
