With news of his call-up breaking late last night, Jacob Gonzalez couldn’t have left a better (hopefully) final impression in the Queen City. Over his final two games in Charlotte, the infielder went 7-for-8 at the plate with 3 homers, 2 doubles, and 8 RBI. Though the circumstances surrounding his promotion are less-than-ideal, he’s getting his shot nevertheless.
The rest of the organization struggled at the plate, with each of the Barons, Dash, and Cannon Ballers scoring two or fewer runs in losses. The ACL White Sox, meanwhile, picked up a win thanks to three home runs.
All this and more in today’s minor league recap!

Jacob Gonzalez left Charlotte on a high note, drilling a homer and a double in the Knights’ 12-4 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Michael Turner, Caden Connor, and Mario Camilletti also went deep in the victory.
