If you had many questions about what’s next for Charlotte Flair or Jade Cargill coming out of Clash in Italy today (May 31, 2026), we’d probably start by asking if you caught any of the video packages about Cargill’s rivalry with WWE Women’s champion Rhea Ripley that aired before or on Sunday’s PLE in Turin.
Because in those, we were all reminded that Flair and her recent tag partner-turned-friend Alexa Bliss have been involved in the Cargill/Ripley feud as a counter-measure to Jade’s allies Michin and B-Fab heading into their title match at Clash, and that That Bitch and company took out Bliss on SmackDown last Friday.
…and made it pretty clear how The Queen would be kept away from her 14th main roster World title win for a little bit longer.
More confirmation came via this online clip WWE released after all other Clash-related activities were wrapped from Inali Arena. Flair’s reminding Cathy Kelley why she got involve today when Jade, Michin & Fab attack. They get a fair number of forearms and boots in before producers are able to run them off.
Cargill seemed to take a substantial leap forward during the Ripley program, and working with Flair should help continue her momentum. For Charlotte, her time away from the top title scene has partly seemed like a way for her to reconnect with fans after that relationship grew really sour during her many championship reigns. Assisting in Jade’s development should help that effort… before she eventually ends up beefing with Rhea, or Alexa, or even Jade for a belt again in the not-too-distant future.
What do you think, about a prospective Flair/Cargill program, how we got here, or why it’s happening?
