Despite Garrett Wilson recently signing a $130 million contract extension with the Jets, he does not want to shell out thousands of dollars for New York Knicks NBA Finals tickets at Madison Square Garden (MSG).
Recently speaking to reporters (via ProFootballTalk), Wilson said he will be rooting for the Knicks “like hell” in the NBA Finals, but he won’t be buying tickets.
He reportedly laughed before saying, “Them jawn’s expensive,” in response to whether or not he’d buy tickets to see a game in person. Wilson doubled down, “So, not yet. I’m gonna be watching.”
Even if he’s not there, Wilson will be rooting hard for New York. He believes the Knicks fanbase and the city “deserves” a championship after a drought that has lasted over a half-century.
“The city deserves it, right?” Wilson said. “And then when you see the way they receive it, it’s just like, ‘Oh, yeah, I mean, we wish it could happen every year, man.’ Seeing the people, the way they get behind their team.”
He knows the Jets are similarly “frothing at the mouth” for a championship. They haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1968, in the third-ever game.
The Knicks’ NBA Finals tickets are expensive
For those hoping to catch an NBA Finals game, be aware that it will cost a pretty penny. According to TickPick, the current get-in prices for the games are over $1,100.
The cheapest, as of their latest update on Sunday, May 31, 2026, is Game 1, which will be played in San Antonio, Texas, at Frost Bank Center. It will still cost $1,149 just to get in the door.
However, the prices go up even higher to go to Madison Square Garden in New York. The cheapest ticket for any of the MSG is $3,728, and that’s for Game 4. Tickets for Games 3 and 6 start at $4,247 and $4,917, respectively.
