The Peregrine has been part of Singular Cycles for almost twenty years. It’s quietly become the bike most people think of when they think of Singular, so changes to the unofficial flagship are not taken lightly. The MK5 Peregrine is the result of careful thought about what could genuinely be better, and what should simply stay the same.

The Peregrine has been in the Singular lineup for the better part of two decades. It combines fat tyres, drop handlebars, and disc brakes on a beautiful, smooth riding classically styled steel frame – it was gravel before gravel. The fifth iteration of the Peregrine is not a reinvention of a tried and true platform. It’s a considered update to something that already works well. The updates address years of rider feedback, some things that quietly bothered Sam, the designer, and some general iterated improvements.

Singular Cycles Peregrin MK5 Updates
- New burned orange colour scheme, alongside a very limited run of classic Singular blue
- Updated tube profiles throughout, improving on the Peregrine’s already well-regarded ride quality – plus a tweak to improve tyre clearance at the chainstays
- Revised geometry across the range, with S and M frames now built around 650b wheels, using a shorter 390mm fork, improving standover clearance, reducing toe overlap and giving a more proportionate, better handling ride in those sizes
- Native 160mm flat mount rear and 160/180 front brake as standard
- Lugged rear dropouts retained from the MK4, with two M5 threaded eyelets for mudguard and rack mounting.
- Some other little tweaks here and there to ensure cables run smoother, tyres fit better and mudguards sit nicely – that sort of thing.

Classic Design, Contemporary Clearance
The Peregrine is designed around optimal large tire clearance. All frame sizes will clear a 2.2″ tyre. The small and medium frames are desgined around 27.5″ tyres while the large and extra-large frames are designed around 29″ tires. This bike is ready for everything from a blast in your local woods, to sone fendered commuting, or fast gravel, to fully loaded touring. The Peregrine is supremely versatile. The tweaked geometry and refined tubeset continue to deliver the fantastic ride and classic aesthetic that Singular is known for.
