ATP French Open semifinals
Mensik – Zverev: 05.06.2026 14:30 CEST
H2H: 0-1
Jakub Mensik has won five straight matches. This week at the French Open, the Czech demolished Droguet in the opening match in straight sets. In the second round, Mensik outlasted Navone in five tight sets after playing for almost five hours. He converted the seventh match point. In the third round, Mensik upset de Minaur in four sets. After losing the opening set 0-6, the Czech stepped up his level and demolished the Australian. In the 1/8-Finals, Mensik defeated Rublev in five tight sets. The Czech dominated against Fonseca in the quarterfinals, winning in straight sets.
Alexander Zverev has won five straight matches. This week in Paris, Zverev defeated Bonzi and Machac in straight sets in the opening rounds. In the third round, Zverev outlasted Halys in four sets. Zverev had a chance to close out the match in straight sets, but served poorly in two games. In the 1/8-Finals, Zverev defeated de Jong in straight sets. He trailed 1-3 in the opening set, but turned it around. In the quarterfinals, the German demolished Jodar in straight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Zverev is the clear favourite in this matchup, but we disagree. Mensik was the underdog throughout both weeks, but still came out on top. If he serves well and Zverev gets nervous, we expect him to keep this match close.
That being said, Mensik covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Jakub Mensik +5.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365
Arnaldi – Cobolli: 05.06.2026 19:00 CEST
H2H: 3-2
Matteo Arnaldi has won five straight matches. This week in Paris, the Italian outlasted Griekspoor in the opening round in four sets, after playing for four hours. In the second round, Arnaldi upset Tsitsipas in four sets. In the third round against Collignon, after playing for over five hours, the Italian won in five tight sets. He trailed 1-2, but turned the match around. A similar match happened in the 1/8-Finals. The Italian trailed 1-2 once again, but turned the match around and defeated Tiafoe in five tight sets. In the quarterfinals, Berrettini retired in the second set against Arnaldi.
Flavio Cobolli has won five straight matches. This week in Paris, the Italian defeated Pellegrino in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, the Italian defeated Wu in straight sets. He trailed 0-2 in the second set, but turned it around. The Italian demolished Tien in the third round in straight sets. Svajda had no answer in the fourth round against Cobolli. Shortly after playing over three hours, Coboli won in four sets. The Italian turned the match around against Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals, winning in four sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Arnaldi is the underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. He leads 3-2 in head-to-head meetings and has won three times on clay. He had enough rest as Berrettini retired mid-match. We expect Arnaldi to keep this match close, especially considering how Cobolli tends to fumble under pressure.
That being said, Arnaldi covering the games handicap is a value bet.
