2026 Spring Middle Distance Training (800m-5,000m), End of season, June 4, 2026, Week 12, Day 4, Thursday is a track day! – runblogrun

Workout for Thursday,   June 4,  2026,(Week 12 , Day 4, Spring 2026), End of season workouts

This is the end-of-season workouts for Spring 2026. This is to help athletes prepare for the end of the season, which happens from June 1 to June 21.

(Upcoming meets, HOKA Festival of Miles, June 4, Brooks PR invite, June 7, Adrian Martinez Classic, June 7, Nike Outdoor, June 18-20, NB Outdoor, June 18-20).

On June 1, we will begin pre-season for the RBR Summer mileage program, and we encourage runners from 400 meters on up to try it.

We will also continue training for track and field through the NIKE Outdoor and New Balance Outdoors, which will be held June 18-21.

End of season workout! 

Your Thursday, Warm-up, 6 x 200m, at mile pace, jog or walk 200m in between, 30 minutes of moderate running, cooldown.

  • Larry Eder has had a 52-year involvement in the sport of athletics. Larry has experienced the sport as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now, journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America’s first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: “I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself.” Also does some updates for BBC Sports at key events, which he truly enjoys.
