Barcelona crushes UCAM Murcia to book semifinal spot

Barça advanced to the Liga Endesa playoff semifinals after a dominant 100-76 victory over UCAM Murcia in the decisive third game of their quarterfinal series.

The Catalan side closed out the matchup 2-1 and kept its championship ambitions alive with an impressive all-around performance on the road.

The game was effectively decided early. Barça took control in the opening quarter, building a 27-17 advantage and never allowing Murcia back into the contest.

The visitors maintained their superiority throughout the night, combining efficient offense with solid defensive execution.

Will Clyburn delivered the standout performance of the evening, finishing with 23 points and a 29 efficiency rating.

Toko Shengelia also impressed with a 23 efficiency rating, while Nicolás Laprovittola continued his strong return to form by contributing 14 points.

Barça extended its lead after halftime and entered the second half with a commanding 70-47 advantage.

From there, Xavi Pascual’s team comfortably managed the game and secured its place in the semifinals without any late drama.

For UCAM Murcia, Michael Forrest led the scoring with 20 points, while Davontae Cacok added 16 and Jonah Radebaugh finished with 15.

The home side struggled without injured guard David DeJulius, and Kelan Martin was unable to repeat the heroics of the previous game, ending the night with a performance rating of -8.

Barça will now meet La Laguna Tenerife in the semifinals with home-court advantage.
