R-Truth may be all smiles most of the time, but he made it clear that his current WWE situation is no joke. During his conversation with WittyWhittier, Truth opened up about the MFTs and revealed that he is still not medically cleared after what went down with them.
The moment came when Truth was asked about potential dream tag team opponents while talking about his current tag team title run. Instead of tossing out a fantasy matchup, Truth said he is focused on what is right in front of him.
“There’s no dream, man. We live in the reality right now.”
Truth then made it clear that he and his partner are not ducking anyone. He said the door is open for any team that wants to step up, but the MFTs are already on his radar for a very specific reason.
“And like my childhood hero, my older brother would say, dog. You know what I’m saying? It’s open challenges to them, dog. You know what I’m saying? We invite them all. You know what I’m saying? If they want to step up, pull up.”
That is when Truth got more serious about the MFTs. He said they are not just another team looking for a fight because they have been hurting people. Truth then revealed that he has not even been medically cleared yet because of them.
“MFTs, we got to take care of them cuz they on a whole different thing, dog. They like they’re hurting people.”
“I’ve been, you know what I’m saying? I’m not even medically released yet because of the MFTs. You know what I’m saying? So, it’s like right now they on the radar, dog.”
That comment adds a lot more weight to whatever WWE is building with Truth and the MFTs. Truth is usually known for comedy, timing, and making fans laugh, but this was a much more direct warning from someone who clearly has unfinished business. Truth did not say when he expects to be cleared, but he made one thing obvious during the interview: once he is cleared, the MFTs are not going to be hard to find.
