Yamaha eBike Systems is providing a free power update for QORE

E-bike drive system manufacturer, Yamaha is offering a significant performance boost for its QORE eBike System. All current and future owners of the latest bikes from Waldbike and Campus will benefit from this gift. Thanks to a new feature in the QORE e-bike App, the update can be downloaded for free and conveniently at home.

The consumer app, which allows QORE to be customized, monitored, and controlled in detail, now supports over-the-air updates. This enables QORE e-bikers to update their drive system themselves with just a few clicks. The whole process can be done conveniently at home on a smartphone, without a time-consuming visit to the dealer and the associated labor costs.

The first major update that can be performed over the air – i.e., wirelessly – using the app is a significant power boost for the QORE drives. The peak power of the top-of-the-line Drive³ Peak model is increased from 600 to 800 watts, and the maximum torque from 95 to 105 Newton-meters (rider power assistance remains at up to 600 percent). After the update, the Drive³ Power offers 700 watts of peak power instead of 500 watts and up to 90 Newton-meters of torque instead of 80 (maximum rider power assistance remains at 410 percent).

All owners of the latest generation of Waldbike and Campus e-bikes equipped with QORE (model year 2026) will benefit from this free performance update. Models produced after the update’s release on June 1, 2026, will come factory-equipped with the new performance specifications – at no extra cost, of course.

But this is just the beginning, as Lionel Sternberg, Product Manager for Software Architecture at Yamaha Motor eBike Systems GmbH in Berlin, explains: “With over-the-air updates, the QORE system instantly becomes significantly more user-friendly. This enables us to provide all conceivable updates – such as new features, security updates, or bug fixes – as downloads in our app. This not only extends the lifespan and reliability of our products, but also allows us to respond quickly to the needs of e-bikers. Last but not least, QORE users save money and time thanks to over-the-air updates, because many trips to the dealer will no longer be necessary in the future.”

About Yamaha eBike Systems
On August 1, 2025, Yamaha Motor Corporation fully acquired the e-bike division of the German automotive supplier Brose, headquartered in Berlin, and reestablished it as Yamaha Motor eBike Systems GmbH. Since then, the company has continued to evolve with the goal of further expanding its presence and growth in the European e-bike market.

About the QORE eBike System
QORE was officially launched at Eurobike 2025 and is installed in the current e-bike generations (model year 2026) from manufacturers Waldbike and Campus. The drive system stands out for its flexibility and versatile applications – in addition to the main components (drive, battery, and display), up to four additional third-party components can be connected. Highlights include the natural, quiet, and powerful Drive³ Peak and Drive³ Power motors, a long range thanks to the 800-watt-hour battery, and the user-friendly end-user app that supports over-the-air updates.
