Tyson Fury hints at joining Dana White for Anthony Joshua fight

Tyson Fury all but confirmed a move to Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, after turning up to the UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on Sunday night.

Fury made a grand entrance to the White House to watch the UFC event spearheaded by White and headlined by Justin Gaethje’s surprise win over Ilia Topuria.

‘The Gypsy King’ wore a cap which stated ‘Donald Trump for Prime Minister’ and the two-time heavyweight world champion embraced both White and US President, Trump at cageside.

“I think I’m going to let Dana do the speaking,” he said.

“I’ll let him do his announcement.

“It’s a massive, massive, massive announcement.”

Fury has signed to fight long-time rival Anthony Joshua later this year.

White has claimed his company Zuffa will promote the mega fight, although Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn and Fury’s handler, Frank Warren have both refuted this.

Warren’s company, Queensberry Promotions did not return messages from proboxing-fans.com seeking comment on Fury’s promotional situation.

White remained tight-lipped over whether he’d be adding the 37-year-old to his stable.

“For the last couple of weeks I’ve been hearing from the media and other people that I’m not involved in the fight,” the 56-year-old told reporters.

“I’ve been hearing that Tyson Fury couldn’t get out of the country and couldn’t get into the United States and it just seems like everyone’s always wrong.

“We’ll make an announcement soon.”

It was the first time Fury had stepped foot into the United States since his epic third fight with Deontay Wilder in 2021.

The Morecambe man was reportedly banned from entering the country due to his links to crime boss, Daniel Kinahan, who was arrested in April.

Fury, who came out of retirement to defeat Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, confirmed to Pro Boxing Fans on Saturday that he intends to fight in August in a warm-up bout.

Joshua will fight on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia against Kristian Prenga, with the pair then likely to deliver the long-awaited super fight in November.
