WWE already has next week’s NXT card taking shape.
During the June 16 episode of WWE NXT, the company confirmed several matches for the June 23rd show, and there is already championship gold on the line.
Aaron Rourke will defend the Evolve Championship against Tristan Angels. Angels made it clear he wanted a title match, and Rourke accepted the challenge. That means next week’s NXT will have an Evolve Title match on the card.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will also be in action against Birth Right. That match came together after Birth Right interrupted a backstage conversation with Robert Stone, Hank, Tank, Rourke, and others. Hank and Tank were not having it, and now the two sides will settle things in the ring.
Keanu Carver is also set to face EK Prosper. Carver wanted a different opponent, but Prosper stepped up and refused to be disrespected. Carver then warned him that he has a death wish, so that one could get ugly fast.
WWE also confirmed that next week’s show will feature a double contract signing for the world title matches, adding even more pressure before Great American Bash.
The confirmed lineup for next week’s WWE NXT includes:
- Evolve Championship: Aaron Rourke vs. Tristan Angels
- Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs. Birth Right
- Keanu Carver vs. EK Prosper
- Double contract signing for the world title matches
NXT is clearly using next week’s show to push hard toward Great American Bash, and with a title match, tag team action, and contract signing drama already locked in, things could get messy fast.
