Tommy Dreamer is done with TNA.
Dreamer revealed on Busted Open that he and TNA have mutually parted ways, ending a long run with the company. This was not just some quick appearance deal either. Dreamer had been working behind the scenes as part of the creative team and also had a major hand in talent relations.
That makes this exit hit harder than a normal roster change. Dreamer had been around TNA for years, dating back to the EV 2.0 days in 2010, when the company leaned into its ECW connection with Hardcore Justice. He later kept circling back into the company in different roles before becoming one of the people helping steer things behind the curtain.
Dreamer worked alongside Hunter “Delirious” Johnston on the creative side and also had a hand in talent relations. That means he was involved in shaping the product and dealing with the locker room, not just making cameos for nostalgia pops.
His departure also comes during a rough stretch of TNA exits. Tessa Blanchard is out of the company again after sources close to her claimed she asked for her release and secured it. Steve Maclin also confirmed that he requested his TNA release before the company announced he and Myla Grace were gone, effective immediately. Maclin had spent five years with TNA, became a former TNA World Champion, and is already being linked to possible interest from WWE or AEW.
So this is not happening in a vacuum. TNA has seen several notable names leave or ask out recently, and now Dreamer is gone from his backstage role too.
There is no word yet on what Dreamer does next or how TNA plans to replace what he handled. Either way, this is a real shift for the company. Dreamer had history there, influence there, and a seat at the table. That chapter is over now.
