WWE SmackDown had a lot packed into the June 12 episode, and now fans know who was behind some of the biggest pieces of the show.
Fightful Select revealed the writers and producers for the June 12, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown. The show was internally titled “Cody Rhodes Island,” which makes sense considering how much of the night circled around Cody Rhodes, Nick Aldis, Sami Zayn, GUNTHER, and the Undisputed WWE Championship picture.
Colin Clark and Ioannis Filippides wrote the segment where Cody Rhodes arrived and spoke with Nick Aldis. They were also behind the Jacob Fatu and MFTs segment, while Clark also handled the Usos and Jacob Fatu backstage segment.
Devyn Prieto wrote the Jade Cargill backstage interview and Tiffany Stratton interview. Cristian Scovell handled Finn Balor’s backstage interview, along with the Finn Balor and Tama Tonga backstage reunion. Chad Barbash wrote the Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano backstage interview, as well as the Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and Nick Aldis backstage segment.
Sondra Lacey wrote the Danhausen, Los Garza, Miz, and Kit Wilson backstage segment, along with the Giulia and Kiana James backstage segment. Pat Lavin handled the Trick Williams, Ricky Saints, and Carmelo Hayes segment, while Colin Clark and Eric Watts wrote the Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa backstage segment. Eric Watts also wrote the LA Knight backstage interview.
On the producer side, Petey Williams produced the Queen of the Ring four-way match. Jamie Noble produced the Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes in-ring segment, along with Rey Fenix vs. Axiom. Michael Hayes and Bobby Roode produced the King of the Ring fatal four-way match.
Kenny Dykstra produced Paige and Brie Bella vs. Fatal Influence. Shawn Daivari produced Tiffany Stratton’s interview, along with Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green vs. B-Fab and Michin. Molly Holly produced the Giulia and Kiana James backstage segment.
That gives fans a better look at who had their fingerprints on the June 12 SmackDown. Cody Rhodes’ story had Clark, Filippides, Barbash, Aldis, Sami Zayn, and Jamie Noble all tied into major pieces of the night. The tournament action had names like Petey Williams, Michael Hayes, Bobby Roode, and Jamie Noble helping shape what aired.
SmackDown may look like chaos once it hits TV, but there are a lot of people putting those moments together before the cameras roll. The June 12 episode had major tournament movement, Bloodline drama, Cody Rhodes tension, and several backstage pieces, and now fans know which writers and producers helped make it happen.
