WWE fans in Charlotte just got hit with a pretty wild schedule change. The Monday Night RAW event that was supposed to go down on August 31 at the Spectrum Center is no longer happening on that date, and it is not even going to be RAW anymore.
The Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina announced that the August 31 RAW taping has been rescheduled to Friday, February 19, 2027. That new date will now be a Friday Night SmackDown event instead. The venue confirmed the switch and said tickets bought for the original RAW show will still work for the new SmackDown date.
“Charlotte, NC (Moves from Monday Night RAW on Monday, August 31 to Friday Night SmackDown on Friday, February 19, 2027) Monday Night RAW scheduled for Monday, August 31st at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, has been rescheduled to Friday, February 19, 2027, where Friday Night SmackDown will now take place. All tickets purchased for the Monday, August 31 event will be honored on Friday, February 19, 2027.”
Fans who cannot make the new date can get their money back, but there is a deadline. Refund requests are available through Ticketmaster until Tuesday, June 30.
“Purchasers that cannot attend the rescheduled date and prefer a refund, this option is available until Tuesday June 30 by accessing your Ticketmaster Account and selecting the Request Refund button.”
That explains why the Charlotte RAW date disappeared from WWE’s official event listings while Ticketmaster and the Spectrum Center still had the event sitting there. It was not just some random website mistake. The show got moved, pushed into 2027, and switched from RAW to SmackDown.
This also comes after WWE’s September 4 SmackDown taping in Cincinnati was canceled. That show was supposed to take place at the Heritage Bank Center, and Ticketmaster already told fans that refunds were coming because the event organizer canceled it. Ticketmaster also told Cincinnati fans they did not need to do anything to get refunded.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.”
“You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”
So now the situation is much clearer. Cincinnati is canceled. Charlotte’s August 31 RAW is not happening as originally advertised. Instead, Charlotte fans are being moved to a SmackDown taping in February 2027.
That is a big change for anyone who bought tickets expecting to see RAW this summer. WWE did not just bump the show a few days or change the start time. They moved it to a different year and a different brand. Now fans have to decide whether they want to hang onto their tickets for SmackDown in 2027 or request a refund before the deadline hits.
