Jaron Ennis defeated Xander Zayas in what was an absolute firefight.
Ennis stopped Zayas in the seventh round to claim the WBA and WBO junior middleweight world titles.
‘Boots’ started in phenomenal fashion, landing at will on the Puerto Rican champion from the opening bell.
He scored a first-round knockdown with just over a minute remaining and looked to end the contest early.
The second round followed a similar pattern, with Ennis enjoying plenty of success before the tide turned dramatically in the third.
Zayas caught ‘Boots’ with a huge shot that rocked him to his core and put him in a position we had never seen before.

WHAT A ROUND! Zayas earned that respect from Ennis as he catches him with a devastating shot and continues to unload on the man from Philly who does well to stay up for the last minute, has the tide turned in this fight?…

Ennis looked destined to hit the canvas as the 23-year-old unleashed a barrage of punches, but the Philadelphian showed tremendous resolve to stay on his feet.
The fourth round was a difficult one to score, with Zayas looking to capitalise on Ennis’ troubles from the previous round, while the 29-year-old piled on the pressure in an attempt to regain control of the fight.

He did exactly that in the fifth round, producing what may have been his best round of the contest.
Ennis dominated the round from start to finish and dropped Zayas heavily, with the Puerto Rican struggling to beat the count. The referee took a long look at him as the round came to a close, but Zayas showed great heart to survive.

Emiliano Vargas vs Bryce Mills
‘El General’ (18-0, 15 KOs) returned to the ring in the co-main event and put on a show against Bryce Mills (22-2, 9 KOs).
Vargas boxed for most of the fight out of southpaw, which seemed to catch Mills off guard in a dominant showing.
He looked in control from the off, and it would be the third round where Mills was put down after a nice check hook caught him at the end of the round.

Mills was caught as he tried to close the distance and was able to beat the count and get back to his corner ahead of the fourth.
Vargas forced the stoppage in the fourth. He dropped Mills once again and he was hurt badly this time, showing great heart to beat the count.
‘El General’ piled on the pressure with a barrage of attacks that forced the referee to step in and halt the contest.

Some were disappointed with the stoppage, with Mills still throwing back at the time despite being hurt.
Ben Whittaker vs Richard Rivera
Ben Whittaker (12-0-1, 9 KOs) made his stateside debut, and he did it in style as we edged towards the main event.
He stopped Richard Rivera (27-3, 20 KOs) in the second round. From the opening bell, it was clear to see ‘The Surgeon’ was the slicker and stronger man in the ring on the night.
He took control of centre ring from the off and wrapped up a punch-perfect opening round with a nice knockdown, with Rivera beating the count and heading back to his corner.

At the start of the second, the Brit put his man down again and the referee stepped in to stop the contest.
Whittaker spoke on the DAZN broadcast about a possible fight with some of the biggest names at light heavyweight down the line.
“Does that sound good to you? [Fighting Bivol, Beterbiev or Benavidez next] Brooklyn, line them up, we will knock them down.
“Don’t ask silly questions.”
