The main event of WWE Night of Champions saw Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Gunther and Sami Zayn.
As recapped by Mike Tedesco in his live coverage of the event, Zayn ultimately took the victory after catching Rhodes by surprise with a roll up to become the new champion.
Commenting on his best friend’s victory in Riydah, Kevin Owens posted a heartfelt message on social media:
Owens is inactive for the foreseeable future due to lingering neck injuries that culminated in the former WWE Universal Champion taking time off after facing Zayn in an Unsanctioned Match at the 2025 edition of WWE Elimination Chamber.
