As per Athletics Victoria’s annual calendar and in accordance with Rule 16.1, notice is hereby given of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM details are as follows:
Date: Wednesday 29 July
Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Online via ‘Zoom’
An attendance registration link will be forwarded in due course.
Election for Committee positions
The election cycle for AV Committee positions is specified in Rule 26 of Athletics Victoria’s Rules.
Pursuant to Rule 26.3, the current terms of Committee members Clare Burton (Committee Vice President) and Scott Trickett (Committee Vice President) will terminate at the Annual General Meeting on 29 July 2026. Both Clare and Scott are eligible to renominate for the Committee, and both have indicated their intention to do so. Additionally, a third position is open for nomination, a casual vacancy since the last AGM when there were fewer nominations than there were vacancies.
Informed by a Committee Skills Matrix, nominations are encouraged from those whose knowledge and experience may include:
- Commercial
- Legal & Risk Management
- Government Relations
- Public Relations/Communications
- Marketing
- High-Performance Sport
Pursuant to Rule 26.2 (c), nominations for any/all of the terminating positions will close at 5:00pm on 1 July 2026. Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed form, copies of which can be obtained by contacting CEO Matthew Duck during business hours on matthew@athsvic.org.au.

Nominations are invited for Awards including Life Membership, Merit Awards, Distinguished Service and Regional Venue Awards, with any/all such nominations to be forwarded by email to matthew@athsvic.org.au by 5:00pm on 1 July 2026. Please use the nomination form provided below, including any additional information to support the nomination.
