WWE Undergoes New Round Of Staff Releases — REPORT

WWE has reportedly made another round of internal staff releases. Rumors of layoffs started circulating within WWE last week, leading many fans to believe another wave of wrestler releases was coming. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

These reported cuts come about two months after WWE released several wrestlers from its roster.

Earlier this year, stars such as Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, Kairi Sane, Santos Escobar, The Wyatt Sicks, and many others were released. Reports also claimed that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods chose to leave WWE instead of accepting new contracts with lower pay. The cuts followed WWE’s usual post-WrestleMania roster changes, a time when the company often makes contract and budget decisions.

But unlike those talent releases, the latest reported cuts involve office staff rather than in-ring performers.

According to PWInsider, at least two to four employees from social media and digital departments have left the company. The actual number could be much higher. The names of those affected have not come to light.

The reported cuts come as WWE continues to reorganize under TKO Group Holdings. Since then, WWE has gone through several structural changes, including staff reductions both on-screen and behind the scenes.

The latest report continues a trend that has been seen in WWE for several years. Since 2020, the company has carried out multiple rounds of cost-cutting that have affected both wrestlers and corporate employees.

That approach has continued under TKO ownership, with restructuring becoming a regular part of WWE’s business strategy. While wrestler releases usually attract the most attention, layoffs involving backstage staff have also happened several times during the TKO era.
