Get your tissues ready now

Anyone who’s ever ventured into the world of Night City knows all too well just how high the death rate is in this city. The last crew—David Martinez, Lucy, Kiwi, and Dorio—had to learn this the hard way.

After a difficult turn of fate, David actually wanted to make a name for himself as an outlaw mercenary in Night City. However, the implantation of dangerous cyberware ultimately plunges him into a spiral of violence, and he gradually loses his mind. In the end, only Lucy and Falco actually survive; the rest of the crew meet tragic deaths.

Yes, no fan’s heart will remain unscathed here. The characters’ stories, their desires and ambitions—which ultimately vanish into thin air—have deeply moved the community. For the new season, this naturally means, that fans shouldn’t get too attached to the new characters. That could—and probably will—end badly.

A fan film demonstrates just how much love the community has for the franchise. In it, the main character V from the video game and the protagonist David from Edgerunners meet, even though they’ve never crossed paths in the official lore.

In addition, the tabletop version of Cyberpunk is getting a massive new set of rules. You can read more about this in the link box above, where we’ve linked all the important news from Night City. Have fun, Choombas!
