Lamar Jackson always stays in the front of the public eye. Fans know his speed, his MVP awards and how he turns difficult plays into big touchdowns. But he tends to keep one part of his life private, his relationship with his girlfriend, Jaime Taylor.
Jackson and Taylor met at Boynton Beach Community High School in Florida. They were friends first, then began dating in 2017 while he wrapped up his career at Louisville, the same year he won the Heisman Trophy. Even when he entered the NFL in 2018, they kept things quiet.
Jackson’s career kept rising. He won MVP in 2019 and again in 2023. He broke Michael Vick’s career rushing record for a quarterback in 2024. While he became one of the league’s biggest stars, Taylor stayed out of the public eye. She doesn’t use public social media, avoids cameras and rarely appears at games. She simply prefers to stay private.

The couple has a daughter, Milan, born in January 2021. Jackson calls her “Lani.” He shares small moments with her online but never too much.
Taylor has only spoken publicly once. In 2019, she told the Ravens’ media team that Jackson changed how she handles criticism. “He’s taught me how to handle criticism, I used to get mad when I’d read stuff,” she said. “But he’d just say, ‘Let them do the talking. You don’t have to say anything. Just show them.”
People around Jackson say the same thing. A Ravens insider said, “She’s his balance. He competes. She keeps him grounded.”
Lamar Jackson gets constant attention. But Jaime Taylor chooses to stay out of it, and that seems to be exactly how they like it.
On the field, when asked about his mindset as he returned from a hamstring injury, Jackson said, “Each and every game is going to be like a win-or-go-home game. It’s do-or-die right now, each and every week.”
That continues Thursday night when the Ravens (6-5) host quarterback Joe Burrow and the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals (3-8) to finish off the Thanksgiving tripleheader. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
