Campagnolo launches Record 13, its second-tier platform

Campagnolo introduces Record 13, a new second-tier platform built around the 13-speed architecture seen on the Super Record 13. The launch follows last year’s presentation of the 2×13 road groupset Super Record 13 and the later arrival of Super Record X, the 1×13 gravel version that we tested during Dustman Gravel in Thailand on a Sarto Raso Wide.

Record 13 keeps the same basic geometry, shifting architecture and electronic platform as Super Record 13. According to Campagnolo, both platforms share component compatibility, while the main differences are in materials and finishes. Record 13 is positioned below Super Record and adds between 208 and 342 grams, depending on the configuration, in exchange for a more affordable price point.

The platform arrives in five versions: Record 2×13 Road, Record X 1×13 Gravel, Record 1×13 Road, Record 2×13 All Road and Record X 1×13 Road. The gravel Record X derailleur uses Campagnolo’s Nano Clutch system and is compatible with 42 and 48-tooth cassettes, while the road and all-road options offer both double and single-chainring setups. Road cassette options include 10-33 and 11-36, while the X derailleur in gravel configuration works with a 10-48 cassette.

Record 13 follows the same design logic as Super Record 13, but with more pragmatic material choices. The most visible differences are in the crankset and finishing, where Campagnolo uses a stainless steel axle instead of titanium and a different crank-arm construction. The Ergopower controls keep the same layout introduced with Super Record 13, but the hood covers have been revised with a more comfort-oriented shape and texture, while Super Record remains the more race-focused option. Braking performance and shifting speed remain the same across both platforms, and the battery system is unchanged, with a claimed range of 750 km and USB-C charging on or off the bike.

Record 2×13 Road, Record X 1×13 Gravel and Record X 1×13 Road are available immediately. Record 1×13 Road and Record 2×13 All Road will follow in July 2026. We had a brief look at the 2×13 road version during Sea Otter last week in the United States, where the new groupset confirmed Campagnolo’s direction with the 13-speed platform: a more coherent and simplified system covering road and gravel for a wider audience.
