Buried Alive with Jaxson Riddle
There’s a depth to TR Factory Athlete Jaxson Riddle that isn’t always obvious at first glance. His new film offers an intimate look at his life, including his relationship with his late father, the weight of grief, and the emotions he’s carried for years. Filmed by Caleb Ely, it frames Jaxson’s story with care while still capturing the unique style that sets him apart. Jaxson has been in the freeride spotlight since he was young, but he rarely let people see what was happening behind the scenes. Becoming a father to Auzzy, and now to Razz, pushed him to finally face the pain he’d long kept buried. That reflection has opened up deeper connections with the people who matter most and helped him step into family life with a new sense of purpose. I’m grateful that more mountain bike films of this emotional depth are being made, and I hope you enjoy it.
WIBMER IMPOSSIBLE – An Urban Freeride Adventure / Gabriel Wibmer
Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Fabio, Gabriel has had a massive impact on the urban downhill and trials scene in the past few years. Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic is incredibly well preserved historically, with gothic spires, baroque churches, and medievel lanes all blending together with the winding streets and colourful buildings. Nicknamed, the “City of a Hundred Spires”, the name starts to make sense once you’ve been there and have had a look at the rooftops. Follow along as Gabriel navigates at full speed through the several-hundred year old cobblestones and stair sets that make up the streets of Prague!
The Forgotten Story Behind Downhill’s Most ICONIC Rider
In over 30 years of Downhill World Cup history, just 12 riders have ever managed to win the Overall title. Loïc Bruni has collected four of those in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024. Bruni now sits just one championship shy of the five-title record shared by legends Nico Vouilloz and Aaron Gwin. Downhill’s early era, unlike the sport it has evolved into, was chaotic and unpolished. But in Bruni’s mind, Vouilloz still stands as the athlete who defined the sport and heavily influenced the racer he grew into. Matching the achievements of the rider he once idolized has become a driving force to stay at the top of the World Cup rankings year after year. The 2025 season pushed Bruni harder than most, what looked like a promising run toward that elusive fifth crown turned into one of the closest battles of his career. In the end, 21-year-old Jackson Goldstone took the win, claiming both the Overall Title and the World Championship at Mont-Sainte-Anne. Could 2026 be the year that Bruni ties Vouilloz and Gwin’s record? We’ll see you in May to find out!
WILDEST Downhill MTB Moments of the Year!
I hope most of you share this sentiment, but I owe a whole lot of 2026 Downhill World Cup action enjoyment to the Sleeper Collective. Sometime’s there’s weekends that just weren’t conducive to watching the whole event, or I was craving getting into the forest instead, but being able to have access to content of this caliber was such a gift, and it’s be one of the main reasons I still enjoy engaging with World Cup Downhill. Along with action-packed highlight videos from every single one of the World Cup Downhill stops this year, the esteemed folks at Sleeper have put together the best of this season into a single, 8 minute and 29 second heavy edit. Enjoy!
“Constructed”┃ a Mountain Bike film by Christian Arehart
Riding what looks to be a ~2015 era Trek Session, Christian Arehart puts on an absolute masterclass in slopestyle builds and riding at the construction site. After working labour heavy jobs the past few summers, I reckon this is probably the most fun that’s been had using a dump truck and a forklift. Ever. His creative movement of different features with the equipment and landing in the back of a truck bed make this edit super unique, and I’d love to see a behind-the-scenes video at some point.
COLD CALLS | Blank Collective Films – FULL MOVIE
The all-mountain bike themed weekend warmup had to come to an end with this last entry because this new ski film from Blank Collective Films was just to good to not include, especially with some fresh snow falling in the PNW this week as ski season starts to kick off. Blank has brought some amazing films over the years, based out of the Sea-to-Sky area, they’ve sent athletes all over Japan and Europe as well! COLD CALLS is a season-ending film that has been pieced together from deep days in Whistler, trips to Japan, massive terrain in Norway, and a rare bit of sun in Alaska. If you’ve got some ski days booked soon, we hope this gets you even more stoked.
