Struggling Premier League champions Liverpool travel to face relegation-threatened Leeds United on Saturday.
Arne Slot’s side have won just two of their last nine league matches and now sit ninth in the top flight table, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.
The Reds will hope to return to winning ways at Elland Road, although the Whites did impress when beating Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Much of the talk in the build up to Saturday’s game has been about whether or not Slot will select talisman Mohamed Salah to face Leeds, with the Egyptian having been left out of the starting line-up for Liverpool’s last two games amid a poor run of form.
Off the pitch, though, it appears that the forward is attracting interest from one of the biggest clubs in the Middle East.
As reported by indykaila News, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad have made contact with the Reds to assess whether or not they would be willing to negotiate a deal for Salah.
The 33-year-old enjoyed a scintillating season last term as Slot’s side cruised to the top flight title, netting 34 goals and providing 23 assists in 52 games across all competitions.

This season has been very different, however, with the Egypt international having scored just five goals in 19 matches.
That run of form prompted Slot to drop the attacker for their recent games against West Ham United and Sunderland, and it appears that Al-Ittihad are now ready to take advantage of the situation.
It is claimed that the Pro League giants – who have the likes of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante in their ranks already – are keen to sign Salah and have enquired about a January transfer for the player.
Salah’s contract is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season, with the forward having signed a new contract last year to end months of speculation surrounding his future.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have previously been interested in the ex-Basel man, who has registered a combined 366 goals and assists in 420 games for Liverpool since joining the club in 2017.
