Craig Bellamy set to move into club management and in advanced talks

Craig Bellamy is now set to move into club management.

The former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker is currently the Wales boss.

However, BBC Sport report that Craig Bellamy is now in advanced talks with Burnley to become their new manager.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Scott Parker having left Turf Moor towards the end of last season, as Burnley were relegated.

Burnley have made an approach to the Football Association of Wales with Craig Bellamy now in contract talks with the Championship side.

Bellamy has been in charge of Wales since 2024 and was expected to still be in charge for the home nations European Championships in 2028.

The former Newcastle star was previously at Burnley when working under Vincent Kompany as assistant manager at the club before his move to Bayern Munich.

Craig Bellamy was then briefly acting head coach.

BBC Sport say their sources have told them that Burnley are willing to meet the compensation clause in Bellamy’s contract with Wales.
