The San Antonio Spurs/New York Knicks just added another trophy to their collection, with a massive win in the NBA Cup final.
The NBA Cup has come to an end with the New York Knicks becoming the third team to win the in-season tournament.
It was a brilliant game, with both sides giving it their all to try and hoist the trophy. In the end, the Knicks just had a little bit more in their back pocket to get the win.

The San Antonio Spurs have no reason to be ashamed of their fight, as they showed the NBA that they are a team to be taken seriously.
With a game as close as this one, the winners had to make the difference where it really counted, and that’s exactly what they did.

The San Antonio Spurs were doing quite well offensively through the first three quarters. However, at the start of the fourth quarter, things went drastically wrong for them.
The Knicks were able to take the lead at the start of the fourth quarter, while the Spurs couldn’t get a shot to fall in for the first five minutes of the quarter.
And by the time they broke the drought, they couldn’t get the job done, with the Knicks making every big shot needed for them to get the win.
Victor Wembanyama and Dylan Harper’s bench heroics cannot save the day
The San Antonio Spurs had to rely on two of their best players – Victor Wembanyama and Dylan Harper – to come off the bench for them and put up big numbers.
Both Wembanyama and Harper did well, scoring 18 and 21 points respectively to give the Spurs a huge edge on the offensive end.

New York Knicks finally show their mettle in high-stakes game
It’s safe to say that the New York Knicks have struggled in high-stakes games in the past. A quick look at their playoff record over the last few years shows they tend to fall when the stakes are high.
Tonight, they put on a great fight, battling with the Spurs until the very end. Their ability to fight back and take the lead with injury concerns was truly sensational.
In the fourth quarter, it was not only their scoring, but their offensive rebounding that allowed the Knicks to get the win.
This is a great sign for the New York Knicks, who have struggled in big game situations to get the win. Perhaps this win will give them the confidence to get to the NBA Finals next year.
